this past weekend the band took a trip to disneyland, which, ironically, i didnt expect to enjoy. my friend and i have been growing apart, and the friendship i have with her kind of hit the wall this weekend--several fallouts happened, when she tried to form me into someone she would more approve of, and i resisted.

the thing was, the only one i should be worrying about in terms of opinion is God.

i had unfortunately forgotten that, and i spent the majority of the weekend trying to keep my head above water, because my friend wanted me to change. i thought only about how i should take joy in my sufferings, becuse Christ would have me do so, and because i could learn from them.

i got home and realized something important: that i needed only to depend on God and rest in Him, for God is my shelter, and with Him i shall not falter.

and so, i guess i have to learn to put my troubles on Him, that He might help me through whatever comes my way.
